Welcome to our website, "MazurekMissions.com".
We trust the information found here will help you know
more about our missionary ministry in Chile and all of
Latin America.
Our theme is "Reaching Children, Raising
up Leaders". This aptly describes the
two areas of ministry we specialize in: child evangelism
and discipleship, and national leadership training. It
also describes the process we are endeavoring to see.
As we reach children in need with the saving knowledge
of Jesus Christ, and as we help them desire to know and
fulfill God's plan for their lives, we set them on the
path to leadership in the Body of Christ.
Here is some background information about us that you
might find interesting.
Jim Mazurek was born on April 18, 1955. He was raised
in Chile as a “missionary kid”, the youngest
son of John and Lucille Mazurek (retired) veteran AG missionaries.
Ester Mazurek was born on December 11, 1957. She is
Chilean by birth, a Presbyterian pastor's daughter, who
grew up with six other brothers and sisters. She is a
naturalized US citizen. Both Jim and Ester speak Spanish
with native fluency. They were married on May 26, 1979.
Jim has a B.A. in Bible from Central Bible College,
a Masters in Theology from the Latin American Theological
Seminary and is the Coordinator of the Christian Education
Service of the Assemblies of God in Latin America. In
September, 1993 Ester founded the “World of Our
Invisible Friend” clown team. This ministry grew
rapidly and was soon featured weekly on Chilean national
television. In March, 1999 she founded the “Santiago
Children's Ministries Outreach Center,” a ministry
that reaches kids in need with the Gospel and follows
through with all sorts of discipleship, educational and
ministerial training. This ministry also helps kids in
extreme risk situations, providing medical, nutritional,
educational, spiritual and foster parental care as needed.
